Heather Paulsen Consulting Inc. (HPC) is a Certified B Corporation, and your privacy is important to us. We support the privacy initiative of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which means you are protected from HPC storing and using any information about you without consent. You can request (at no cost to you) that we remove your data from our systems at your will. We’ve added privacy caveats to all of our public facing forms to make sure users understand how we store and collect data.
How we collect information about you:
HPC and its owners, employees and contractors collect data through a variety of means including but not necessarily limited to our website contact form, emails, phone calls, voicemails, surveys, business cards, and intake forms as necessary to process requests for information or assistance through our business.
Why we need your data:
We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with ongoing organizational updates and services. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee our services to you. Because we are collecting your data, we take extra care with our security. We ensure that all of our sites can be accessed through secure HTTPS protocols.
Type of information we collect:
HPC is the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. Through our website, we only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location-based information. We ask for your name, email address, and phone number to be able to contact you during the initial stages of a project. If you become a client, we will gain access to additional company information that is further protected through non-disclosure agreements as appropriate.
How We Use Your Information:
Information is only used as is reasonably necessary to process your inquiries or to provide you with our services which may require communication between HPC and its contractors or other service providers (when applicable).

We use Google Analytics and other 3rd party tools to evaluate the traffic to our website. We have configured these tools to minimize the data that they collect, and the site only collects cookies pertaining to analytics and performance (i.e. traffic sources, unique visitors, sessions). We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. Your IP address is used to help identify you for the duration of a session.
What We Do Not Do With Your Information:
We hold in strictest confidence, any information about your personal or professional situation(s) that you provide to help us give you high quality and customized service – via intakes, surveys, in writing, via email, on the phone (including information left on voice mails), contained in or attached to emails, or directly or indirectly given to us. We do not give out, exchange, barter, rent, sell, lend, or disseminate any of your personal information without your consent (described in the following section of this policy).
Limited Right to Use Non-Identifying Personal Information from Letters, Notes, and Other Sources:
Any pictures, stories, letters, correspondence, or thank you notes sent to us become the exclusive property of HPC. We reserve the right to use non-identifying information about our clients (those who receive services from or through us) for promotional purposes that are directly related to our mission.
Clients will not be compensated for use of this information and no identifying information (photos, addresses, phone numbers, contact information, last names or uniquely identifiable names) will be used without client’s express advance permission.
You may specifically request that NO information be used whatsoever for promotional purposes, but you must identify any requested restrictions in writing. We respect your right to privacy and assure you no identifying information or photos that you send to us will ever be publicly used without your direct or indirect consent.
Where HPC discloses your personal information to its agents or sub-contractors for purposes of carrying out our contracted work, the agent or sub-contractor in question will be obligated to use that personal information in accordance with the terms of this privacy statement. In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere above, HPC may disclose your personal information to the extent that it is required to do so by law, in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings, and in order to establish, exercise or defend its legal rights.
Securing your data:
HPC will take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. HPC will store all the personal information you provide on its password-protected computers and/or password-protected shared drives.

HPC may update this privacy policy by posting a new version on this website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are familiar with any changes.

What are your rights:
If at any point you believe the information we process is incorrect, you can request to see this information and request to have it corrected and/or deleted. How long we keep your data:
We keep basic personal data (name, address, contact details) and any information you give us for marketing or promotional purposes until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive and store this information.
